The salary schedule for 2016-2017 is available on the district website under the District Information menu on the Human Resources page. Certified contracts typically include 190 days of service per year, including 5 paid holidays. Salaries are paid 1/12th each month on the 20th of the month beginning in September.
$100 monthly salary stipend is provided. Medical insurance with district-paid coverage is provided for the certified staff member beginning in September. Family medical insurance is available for purchase. A $1 annual participation fee is required. Medical coverage is available as a $500, $750 or $1,000 deductible PPO plan through Wellmark Blue Cross-Blue Shield. Dental insurance is available with a district contribution of $13.69 per month.
The district pays for long-term disability insurance and $20,000 term life insurance. A vision
plan and additional life insurance are available for purchase. Flexible spending plans are available for employee pre-tax contributions toward medical expenses and dependent care.
There are five paid holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Memorial Day. Certified staff members are provided 2 personal business days per year. Up to 2 personal business day may be carried over to the next contract year.
Sick leave is provided annually with 10 days allocated on July 1, 2016. Sick leave increases each year by 1 day up to an annual allotment of 15 days with a maximum carryover to the next contract year of 110 days. New employees will be credited with 1/3 of their accumulated sick leave from their prior district up to 15 days. Documentation from the previous district is required.
Up to 8 days per contract year of the accumulated sick leave may be used for the illness or accident of an immediate family member.
In the event of a defined family member’s death, the employee may take up to 5 days with pay without the use of another type of leave. For any other death, 1 day per contract year is provided as bereavement leave.
