This is always such a fun time of year, coming out of our fun fall sports schedules, attending concerts, and starting into winter activities. I am looking forward to seeing more of our families as our activities move indoors.

School Board Organizational Meeting

The board will meet in a special session this Thursday evening at 6:30 to welcome new board members and hold their election of board president and vice president. This will be followed by an orientation session and work session around topics related to the function of the board. As always, these meetings are open to the public.

School Improvement Advisory Committee

We held our first SIAC meeting of the year Monday evening. You can find a recap of the agenda included here.

Concerts

Congratulations to our 5th-8th grade students on an outstanding performance last night. As a former high school band director, I just have to say…wow was I impressed! Great job students and teachers. And what a great turn out to hear them perform. The bleachers were full!

I am equally excited to hear our high school musicians next week. I hope you are all able to attend this coming Monday at 7:00.

School & Community Forum

Because of the concert, the December 4th Forum will be moved to the High School and will start earlier than usual. I’d love to visit with any of you at 6:00 in the High School Media Center. Then we can move over to the concert at 7:00.
